I was born and raised in Aberdeen where I attended drama classes from the age of 6, allowing me to discover my love for technical theatre at the age of 13. I studied at St Machar Academy where I was actively involved in all things 'theatrey' and now live in Glasgow to pursue a life in technical theatre at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. I have been a volunteer at Aberdeen Arts Centre for the past 5 years, and still frequently volunteer when in Aberdeen, giving me a well-rounded experience in theatre including Front of House, Box Office and Admin work in addition to a wide range of technical experience.
My passions are theatre, magic, music and technology. I started to learn clarinet when I was 11 and continued to take part in school wind bands until I sat my Advanced Higher Music in 6th year. Combining three of my hobbies (magic, theatre and technology), I chose to study Music with Technology and worked closely with the music department creating a recording studio for them and operating sound for their concerts within school and further afield including a tour to Holland.
In my childhood and teenage years I was actively involved in raising awareness of mental health issues and promoting positive mental health in young people as well as representing young people in Aberdeen and nationwide working with organizations such as Scottish Government, Scottish Youth Parliament and Penumbra organizing national conferences and leading local and national initiatives.
I have developed my interest in magic since the age of 5 and I am now a semi-professional magical entertainer. I have also chosen to build on my interest as a keen web-designer by running my own small-scale web design business. You can visit the websites dedicated to my other passions by clicking on the links.
